🍩 Rising Stars & Rising Dough: How UDS Catering Students Turned Passion into Pastries
The aroma of fresh donuts recently filled the training center at Uniting Distant Stars, marking a delicious milestone for our budding culinary artists in the Catering Program. Filled with pride, students gathered around their finished creations—perfectly golden, fluffy rings dusted with just the right amount of sweetness.
Since its inception in 2017, the UDS Catering Program has empowered young people with practical skills in pastry, entrée, and cake baking. This year-long journey is more than learning recipes; it’s about discovering confidence, creativity, and purpose. Under the nurturing guidance of Instructor Frank Tugbeh, who’s been shaping the program since 2018, students explore the full spectrum of culinary arts—from kneading dough to presenting deliciously plated meals.
These donuts, beyond being a treat for the tastebuds, represent the commitment of every student who dared to learn, dream, and create. And yes, we’ve got the photos to prove how proud they are of their sweet success! 📸✨
So while some might see just a pastry, we see future caterers, chefs, and entrepreneurs—kneading dough into dreams and frying up a future full of flavor.
